IT monitoring vendor finds 'suitable' distie for NZ

 Auckland June 25, 2012

Irish software developer MMSOFT Design has appointed Chillisoft to spearhead ANZ channel sales of its IT monitoring software, App Pulseway.

Chillisoft is the first distributor in New Zealand to take on the product.

Chillisoft managing director Geoff Cossey says monitoring IT requires attention, time and diagnostic ability. “The days of being excused for not knowing a service is down are over. Pulseway allows IT administrators to keep a finger on the pulse, extending IT monitoring and management to mobile phones, tablets and laptops, or even a web page.”

Cossey says he’s been watching the mobile monitoring space for some time, and the new partnership arose when local Pulseway resellers recommended Chillisoft after MMSOFT Design inquired about a suitable distributor for the region.

“It’s great to be endorsed. We’ve always championed the channel, and engineered systems and support that put our partners in the driver’s seat. We’re still in the early stages of our new partnership, but already four resellers and several end-users in New Zealand, Australia and Fiji are evaluating the offering.”

Chillisoft is promoting Pulseway to both small and large resellers, with a SaaS option for the small end of town and an enterprise version for partners and clients preferring to host their own server. It can be deployed on Windows, Linux and Apple systems and managed from every device, including Android, Apple and Android smartphones and tablets.

Cossey says he’s impressed with the product’s functionality, stability and excellent sales and technical support. “MMSOFT Design’s philosophy also fits nicely with our approach to listening to partners and customers and using feedback to improve products and services,” he says.

Feedback in this part of the world has been bullish, with active resellers specifically mentioning remote management of server loads, CPU usage, hard drive capacity, temperatures, terminal server log-ons and internet connectivity.

Cossey says monitoring isn’t the only facet of Pulseway, highlighting a host of management activities including: run tasks, terminal commands, process and service activation, updates, restart and shut down. A flexible notification mechanism highlights major incidents and can trigger predefined tasks.

Marius Mihalec, CEO and founder of MMSoft Design, says he’s confident the partnership with Chillisoft will help IT administrators in New Zealand and Australia switch on to productivity and service improvements offered by Pulseway.
