ESET Remote Administrator server module and SQL Server notifications are now available in version 4.5

  •  August 25, 2014

Pulseway 4.5 features the ESET Remote Administrator server module which allows you to monitor security products from the ESET business family. Once configured, you can get notified when monitored security products identify threats, browse clients, start full system scans and read scan logs for information about identified threats.

SQL Server module has also been updated to include notifications on queries that execute for a long time, deadlocks, almost filled databases with auto growth disabled and custom query filters. When a query is detected to be running for more than a preconfigured amount of minutes you get notified with the SQL statement that caused the long execution time and it’s session so you can remotely kill it. Deadlock notification lets you know when two transactions begin updating the same object causing a deadlock to occur if by any chance the transaction never gets committed or rollbacked. You also get informed of the session id of the queries that caused deadlocks in order to remotely kill them using Pulseway. One common DBA technique is to manually control database growths and only expand them during maintenance windows to prevent causing high disk I/O during normal utilisation. With Pulseway you can now monitor databases that have auto growth disabled and the fill rate reaches a configurable percentage to remind you that a manual database expansion is required soon. Custom SQL notification filters allow DBAs to create their own monitors on business critical application counters and be notified when the query result doesn’t match their preconfigured conditions.
